SoRDeC (Social Welfare Resource Development Centre) is a non-governmental and non-profit making social development organization committed to contributing towards the goal of achieving equitable and sustainable rural community development. It is formed and functioning by a group of people from different caste with long and varied experiences in areas of development, supported by other professionals and practitioners involved in relevant fields. The guiding principles of the organization constitute equity, self-help, sustainability, appropriate technology, and eco-friendly development strategy.   Established on 22 May 1996 with a view to launching and facilitating various development activities in the field of rural community development, it has been registered at the District Administration Office (DAO), Parbat, under the Organization Registration Act 2034 BS and affiliated to the Social Welfare Council (SWC).
